Homeless

I’m so pissed off now. It’s settling down a little bit but only because hours have passed.
My loan agent called a few hours ago, when I was in the middle of grocery shopping, to let me know we hit our next snag in the FHA process. The third party loan agency wishes to see an amount of money equal to that of three month’s worth of mortgage payments in my bank account by closing date. According to my loan agent, this amount of money can be put back to where it came from once closing is over and done with. And closing is now bumped indefinitely into the future. It’s no longer this Friday, like planned from 2 months ago. It turns out the government loan third party group has taken their sweet time processing everything and just TODAY requested this money and also pictures from a past appraisal done (which was botched up by the appraiser).
So I’ve started the processes. After explaining to (and severely worrying) my dad, he agreed to “lend” me the large amount as long as I get it back to him as soon as possible, which I will do of course. But now he’s got to go jump through hoops getting copies of the statements from his history and then getting the money to me. I’m sure it’s not hard work, but I feel extremely bad that he’s gotta run around towns all day trying to ease up my problem. I’m very grateful for that.
But, now that closing is bumped to God knows where, our lease still ends the 30th of June. What the heck are we supposed to do? We have to have our stuff moved out of here for our “walk through” by the development staff that rents to us. And we’ve had our notice in for 2 months, required by our lease. So that leaves this place more than likely rented out from under us and we don’t know when we can actually live in the currently vacant house!
I called the real estate agent, presently on vacation, and she answered her cell phone. She knew the situation from the loan agent already. I asked her what we could do. She said there’s a form I can fill out if the seller agrees to it where I can move in prior to the closing date. Now, it depends on whether this is our crap AND our physical bodies included as to whether or not there will be a problem remaining. We could always try to live in a hotel but then we have cats to situate. We could smuggle them in but we’re still looking at unknown charges for however many days we’re subject to homelessness. Whatever.
I love the governments lack of care for people.
